Summary: This chapter will concentrate on the patient with peripheral vascular disease, and will review the role of antiplatelet therapy in providing protection from major cardiovascular morbidity (myocardial infarction, stroke, or death), improved bypass graft patency, and decreased rates of restinosis and occlusion following peripheral percutaneous intervention.
