About This Journal
The Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health (ISSN 2639-9997) is devoted to the translation and dissemination of research knowledge specific to families living with parental mental illness. The idea for an e-journal dedicated exclusively to research and innovation specific to parental mental illness was born from a group of international researchers and change agents committed to enhancing the lives of families living with parental mental illness. This group is called the International Research Collaborative for Change in Parent and Child Mental Health.
The Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health is produced by the Implementation Science and Practice Advances Research Center (iSPARC) in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA, USA. iSPARC is a Massachusetts Department of Mental Health Research Center of Excellence and was formerly called the Systems and Psychosocial Advances Research Center (SPARC).
Aims and Scope
The aim of the Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health is to have a resource dedicated to highlighting a range of activities and innovations specific to families living with parental mental illness. Products will cover a range of topics including, but not limited to, new and ongoing research, intervention development, evaluation, literature reviews, policy initiatives, first person accounts and others. We are particularly interested in learning across countries and cultures, and strive to bring together knowledge from around the globe that informs our understanding of this critical topic.
The Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health provides immediate open access to its content. Making research freely available to the public best benefits research, scholars, education, and society.
The Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health does not charge subscription, submission, or author fees.
The journal is published online up to four times per year.
Authors of original work accepted for publication in the Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health grant first publication rights to the Journal but retain ownership of the copyright of their content. All content in the Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health, unless otherwise noted, is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial License. Under this license, authors' work may be downloaded, redistributed, and new creations built upon it for non-commercial purposes, provided that the authors are credited.
Download metrics for individual papers display in the area underneath the download button and are updated daily. For context, visitors are also able to see the date the paper was first posted. Metrics will not display for papers that have fewer than 10 downloads. All authors automatically receive monthly email reports containing download metrics for their articles published in the Journal of Parent and Family Mental Health. The email reports provide a link to more detailed information for authors interested in learning more.

The publisher utilizes the bepress Archive service with Amazon's Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) to create permanent archives for the purpose of ensuring long-term availability and accessibility of journal content.
