Abstract
Going Virtual 2018
This in-person event explored the creation of digital health sciences libraries. We heard from Elizabeth Lorbeer, Library Director at the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine (WMed). Her library was born-digital in 2013.
Library Director Elizabeth Schneider, who guided the transformation of the Massachusetts General Hospital Treadwell Library to eTreadwell in 2014, gave us an update on MGH's virtual library.
Elaine Alligood and Jennifer Martin presented on the Knowledge Information Services (KIS) at the Veterans Affairs New England Healthcare System.
This event concluded with small group discussions on the feasibility of creating virtual libraries, and the concerns of regional librarians.
