The GSU Conference Auditorium is on the second floor of the George Sherman Union (GSU), Room 228, located at the Boston University Charles River Campus at 775 Commonwealth Avenue.

Stairs: Upon entering the building through the main doors (underneath four "Class of 20__" flags), you will find a staircase - take the staircase up and take a right once you see the large Metcalf Hall and then take a left entering the large Ziskind Lounge area towards the entrance to the GSU Conference Auditorium.

Elevators may be found on the first floor of the GSU: Upon entering the building through the main doors (underneath four "Class of 20__" flags) take a left into the Union Court (food court) and take a right from Rhett’s (food kiosk) -- against the right side wall will be an elevator to the second floor. Once on the second floor walk straight towards the entrance of the Ziskind Lounge area and continue walking towards the GSU Conference Auditorium.

By T: The George Sherman Union building is conveniently located right next to the MBTA Green Line’s B Branch at the Boston University Central T-Stop.

By Bus: The 47 Bus from Central Square in Cambridge heading towards Broadway Station stops at the BU Bridge, which is a two-minute walk to the GSU. The 57 Bus from Kenmore Square heading towards Watertown Yard stops in front of the venue.

By Car: Parking in Boston is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited metered parking is located up and down Commonwealth Avenue and on parallel streets. Boston University also has several parking lots throughout the campus that are open to public use for a fee (see website for hourly/daily rates). Please note that the NIRD organizers are unable to reimburse parking fees.

Directions to the Mugar Library, Estin Room 302

The lunchtime talk "Beyond Migration: Understanding the Effects of Repository Migration on Users Experiences and Repository Services" will be held in the Mugar Library, 3rd floor, Estin Room 302. The entrance to Mugar Library is situated on the ground floor (1st floor) of the George Sherman Union (near the staircase). Once inside the library, walk straight ahead towards the circulation desk and take a left to take the North elevators or stairs and go to the third floor. Make a left off of the elevator, walk straight past the entrance to the Technical Services/Bibliographical Services Department, and follow the signs for the Estin Room 302. Mobility

The venue is fully wheelchair-accessible. When you register, please let us know if there are any mobility assistance needs you may have during the conference, and we’ll be in contact to help address them as well as we can. If you have any questions, please email Eleni Castro (elenic@bu.edu).

All-gender restrooms are available on the 2nd floor of the George Sherman Union building across from the large Metcalf Hall in the entrance of GSU Operations.
