Abstract
The goals of this presentation are: to provide an introduction to the responsibilities of an ophthalmologist and to ophthalmology as a medical specialty; to review the clinically relevant anatomy of the eye; to review the epidemiology of blindness and visual impairment; and to provide an overview of refractive errors and presbyopia.
