This collection showcases journal articles, book chapters, and other publications and presentations written by faculty and researchers of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, one of the founding departments at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, is a dynamic, diverse, and broad-based academic and clinical department. Our mission statement both reflects and guides the work of our faculty and staff: Our mission is to provide leadership to achieve the highest standards of patient care, education, and research in family medicine and community health, and we are committed to improving the impact of this work on the health of populations with special emphasis on those most vulnerable. The words that attracted many members of our faculty to family medicine - continuity, coordination, commitment, caring, comprehensiveness, and community - still define our work, and in today's world are more important than ever.
