Investigators in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biotechnology (formerly the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology) study mechanisms of protein dynamics, assembly and trafficking; structural biology and molecular biophysics; molecular modeling; mechanisms of epigenetic inheritance; drug discovery; cell and developmental biology; molecular interactions of DNA and RNA; and experimental and computational chemistry. The new department name, which was established in October 2021, reflects the expanded role of cutting-edge technologies such as cryo-electron microscopy and computational biology, as well as the science of pharmacology in bringing a molecular perspective to problems in biology and medicine. This collection showcases journal articles and other publications written by faculty and researchers in this department.
