The University of Massachusetts Center for Clinical and Translational Science (UMCCTS) was founded in 2006 to enhance clinical and translational research across the five University of Massachusetts campuses (Amherst, Boston, Dartmouth, Lowell, UMass Medical School) and our clinical partner, UMass Memorial Health Care. With the receipt of an NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) in 2010, and its successful renewal in 2015, the UMCCTS joined a network of 62 NIH-funded centers collaborating to transform the conduct of clinical and translational research across the U.S. The goals of the UMCCTS are to 1) To accelerate the translation of basic discoveries into practical, cost effective solutions that improve human health; and 2) To develop and support the next generation of leaders in clinical and translational research. The monthly UMCCTS Newsletter provides its members with the latest news and announcements about resources, funding opportunities, seminars, events, and educational training.
